| Students who meet the Michigan Promise Scholarship
criteria are awarded $4,000 to be used for continuing education.
How to Qualify for a Michigan Promise Scholarship
A student must:
• Take all parts of the MME test prior to the end of their senior year.
Note:
- If a student achieves 1's and 2's in all areas of the test, they will qualify for early installments ($1000 a year for 4 years of college).
- If a student does not achieve 1's and 2's in all subject areas, they will be eligible to recieve $2000 a year in the last 2 years of a 4 year college program.
How to receive your Michigan Promise Scholarship
Unlike applying for a scholarship or grant, there is no application process
to follow to receive your Michigan Promise Scholarship.
Students will be mailed notification letters from the state in their
senior year or in the fall after graduation from high school. The letter should include a PIN number and an explanation of the procedures for obtaining the Promise Scholarship.
After the student is notified they must certify their award by telling
the state where they want the award money sent. The easiest way to do
this is through Online Certification.
